Dip

Illustration Friday's theme this week is "Dip" . . . one of those words that has so many different meanings. Just when I was thinking about a disastrous dip in the road or the dip of the Loch Ness Monster's back, my son Max came along and suggested someone dipping his foot in the water instead.

I always do what Max says.

Very clever Justin, parents should always listen to their kids! It is hilarious! His expression is great and the way he stands their I can almost feel the cold water and shiver myself! If I'm allowed to do a tiny suggestion...hmmm...I think I would take the word dip out. I think the image speaks perfectly for itself!!!

too funny Justin, great expression too. I always try to do what Cyan suggests too, sometimes he is much more creative than I am able to express. Yesterday it reached a high of 84 F for the first time this year. There were kids actually shirtless and on the bridge contemplating a jump into the icy cold water. Brrrrrr, just the thought of it gives me chills!

Ah yes, the wisdom of the young'uns...he turned out great! I also love his freezing expression and the tendrils of leaves - nice one Justin!

thanks, Maria, for the suggestion! I think you're right that this one needs no explanation (I took the word "dip" out).

Karen, I know they feel: that first hint of spring and everybody wants it to be summer already! OK, maybe I don't know — here in Valencia, it's practically summer all year round!

I really like this! I really like your style. The choices of colours really capture that. Your work is inspiring. I'm going to follow you in hopes of seeing much more.

I'd love to hear what you think of mine:

I like Max´s idea. And I totally feel for the poor bather! That is exactly how it feels swimming in Norway. I haven´t gotten around to the Zombie-chicks yet. Still on the run :-) I´ve found some cool new blogs though, so it´s on it´s way.
